Well we got it done! borrowed from a friend. Between a bucket and the shop vac, only took an hour or so... :) Now on to the gross sand filter

Thank you. I don't have any water in my pool right now. We are getting ready to fill it but want to make sure the filter is good to go! Also, the pvc pipe in the middle has shifted when I attempted to move the tank (omg, it's heavy!).... I'm not sure what to do!

My Sand Filter is on it's third year and didn't get taken care of over the winter. I opened it up and the sand is partially black and smells like a swamp, gross! Can I salvage this? I don't want to buy a new one! Will it be okay?? help!

Okay, thanks. We get A LOT of debris blown into the pool from trees etc. I didn't maintain it last year and it turned into a pond, literally. Had ducks coming in. I'm trying to decide what to do that would require the least amount of work during the winter.... still learning here.
