Do I need to worry about my PH going up (7.8) while I'm holding my shock at 19ppm?? or is it just because of the high chlorine?

Thanks for the quick replies! My PH, it's a 3 drop acid requirement to get it to 7.2. as low as the test will measure. so isn't the test about correct? Will the 1/2 to 1/2 test work on PH?
