Pool Renovations - Quartzscapes Tahoe Blue - Pool builder just gave up on me

Same here...I was just looking for something nice, and not Pebbletec for this house since we are unsure how long we'll be here. A white plaster would of been fine and the darker blue won't get me anything in addition to value...in fact it's only given me stress so far.

Pool Renovations - Quartzscapes Tahoe Blue - Pool builder just gave up on me

Thanks - some minor discoloration I expected with this darker color. That's not a big deal. It's the long streaks and the circular pattern around the spot that they treated for rebar that's getting me. Plus the stairs have these white "scrapes" that really don't look normal.

Pool Renovations - Quartzscapes Tahoe Blue - Pool builder just gave up on me

Thank you for chiming in. I'm relieved to hear that I'm not crazy. They wanted me to accept and pay the final, and even said I had a 10 year warranty. I'm embarrassed to show it off as it is...at least prior to this I had a legitimate excuse (pool plaster was at least 12 years old). I'll...

Pool Renovations - Quartzscapes Tahoe Blue - Pool builder just gave up on me

We went with the Tahoe Blue Quartzscapes after our pool company praised it. My fear was a bad renovation costing me $6k, and now my fears have been realized. They want to force the rest of the contract due and I'm certainly not happy. Imgur: The magic of the Internet There is one circular...

This estimate seem too high to you?

Thanks Suz! I found out that MMG doesn't work directly with homeowners, so it looks like going through a sub-contractor (Parrothead in this case) would be my best bet. So far I've gotten a couple more quotes in the 6-7k range for Pebbletec, but no one except Parrothead is willing to do the...

Nope! Thanks for the suggestion. That's who these guys go through, so I'm sure there is some kind of mark-up.

This estimate seem too high to you?

Here's the page I found on Pebbletec warranties, but I only see 5 years mentioned. So, not quite sure what it actually is.

Thanks! Just requested a few from top ones at Yelp in my area. Will report back on how they come in.

This estimate seem too high to you?

Thanks, so looks like it's not too far off? - - - Updated - - - In Houston, TX. First estimate from a company named Parrothead Pool Services - these guys just finished a filter/heater replacement for me so I had them quote the remodel as well. I'm definitely going to get 2-3 more quotes to...

This estimate seem too high to you?

10.5 gallon pool, options are quartz or level 1 pebblesheen. I was really expecting this to be about $2k less that what's quoted.

Precision Time Switch Stuck On - CD104-201

Thanks! I've noticed I can order direct through Precision but it's cheaper for just the timer without the heater delay. I don't know much about the use of the heater delay, so I'll just order a direct replacement to be safe.

Precision Time Switch Stuck On - CD104-201

So I believe this timer switch just went out on me. Now my pool pump is stuck in the on position and manually hitting the switch on this timer doesn't work. I noticed it's not an expensive part - only about $70 online. Is this something I could replace myself? I assume I hit the breaker, and...

Cartridge filter leak where pressure gauge is located

So lately, I've been getting more and more bubbles at start-up. Today I found a air leak when the pump is turned OFF right where the pressure gauge is at. I'm going to have my tech look at it this weekend, but until then, should I run the pump continuously? I don't want it to get so bad where...
