    Very old, dilapidated mechanical timer

Now, if I wanted to replace this timer, where would I start? Do I need a whole new box?

    Very old, dilapidated mechanical timer

I understand the whole box is nightmarish. I have several questions, but let’s start with the basics. Can anyone identify this timer? How can I bypass it so the pump is just operated by the circuit breaker?

    Just keep slamming?

My pump died in February and I took far too long to get it replaced. I've been fighting a swamp for about a week and a half now. The water is a much prettier color now, but still super cloudy. Do I just stick with the SLAM or should I try more aggressive measures (partial drain and refill...

Skimmer has no suction and pump has no pressure.

Had a similar thing happen to me after some heavy vacuuming. It ended up being two things: clogged pipe going from the skimmer to the pump (fixed that with a drain king. Google it. It's awesome) and had a clogged pump impeller. Had to open up the pump housing to clean it all out. It's easier...

    Old Hayward

Thanks, I'll give that a shot. It does seem like it's unnaturally buoyant. It could be there's some air getting trapped in there.

Pump doesn't prime anymore after I connected a manual cleaner

Couple of possible culprits: clogged impeller or a blockage. I had this problem recently, and it ended up being a blockage in the suction side. I took the pump apart to make sure the impeller was completely clear. Then I bought a Drain King and let that go to work on the pipes. The amount of...

    Old Hayward

I have what I'm assuming is a first edition Hayward Navigator. It's gotta be about 15 years old. I inherited it with a house a purchased a couple years ago, and it's worked well. Now, it's getting a bit floaty in the front end. It will run nice and smooth along the bottom, but when it hits the...
