    Setting up a pool for the first time starting tomorrow afternoon. It is the Intex 18'x48" ultra frame. I currently have no testing supplies. Will be going to the store tomorrow. Would like to start the slam process saturday after the pool is set up, obviously.

    I know the TF-100 is the recommended around here but having spent a considerable amount of money I am looking for a more economical kit. I have been eyeing this poolmaster 22260 5 way test kit and wonder what yall think for a good starter kit.

    making an adaptor for intex sand filter to garden hose

    I would just use tfe paste with ptfe if it will be coming on and off. Grab a tube and store it with the fitting. Stuff works great. Just make sure you get the non hardening kind.

    I did add two more unions after I added the picture. Thanks. Very good point. I will just move the T down and add a 90 at the return and fountain. Good thinking. :cheers:

    Plan to level ground. 1. remove grass at 20' 2. sweep any large rocks away. 3. add 2 cu yards of masonry sand 4. compact with roller and water 5. level with 10' 2x4" beam

    So buy $22 in adapters or $22 in 1-1/2" pvc. lol Gonna need more beer.
