IAquaLink not turning off water features after freeze protection ends

Jandy actuator opens to allow flow to the water feature legs. Main VS pump kicks up to a higher RPM. In this scenario, the pump has dropped back to the routine RPM. Just the actuator doesn’t return back to off.

IAquaLink not turning off water features after freeze protection ends

Lately the water features turned on with freeze protection mode are not turning off after the air temp warms up and freeze protection mode is no longer active. In the app, the waterfall switch shows active and will turn off when asked, so it seems to be a Zodiac Automation issue. I don’t want...

    Stenner pump install

Mine doesn't have the check valve. A critter chewed my dispense line about halfway between the pump and the injection port and there was a steady dribble of pool water coming out. No real pressure behind it.

    Stenner pump install

Yes, Pool Essentials brand. Leslies breaks down to $0.294/oz vs. Walmart $0.284/oz. I use 3.2 gal/week right now. When it gets down to ~gallon or so, I add 4 gals from my stash in the garage. I haven't noticed any degradation issues.

Mixing isn't a problem, but your run time will depend on the strength and your pool's demand. Where and what percentage you buy is usually determined on a balance of price/convenience/percentage. Walmart 10% is cheaper and easier than Leslie's 12%. Haven't really sought out other sources yet.

Help with Dialing in the Dosing of a Stenner Pump for Chlorine...

Another thing to consider is that your pool may be smaller than advertised. This would cause overdosing. Try manipulating the volume in the calculator until the pre/post chlorine level matches reality. My advertised 18k pool is more like 12.5k based on how it reacts to chemical additions.

Calculating Pool Volume Based on Chemistry

I would trust the pool calculator more than an inspector. Heck, my pool ended up a bit under what the builder's software estimated it to be based on the calculator and how long it took to fill. I've seen it posted by the more knowledgeable folks around here to add enough bleach to raise your...

    Stenner Liquid Chlorinator: Reservoir Placement

Chlorine vapors in the garage aren't kind to the other occupants of the garage containing metal. While the sealed jugs should be ok, the dispensing drum won't be air tight.

    Air source heat pump???

I assume the water coming out of the returns should feel warmer pretty quickly. Never really tested it. How much warmer depends on the ambient air temp. My back patio thermometer says 82. My return temp sensor shows 89 and the HP says the incoming water is 85.

New to forum and first time pool

You could always go the Stenner pump route for chlorination. Have it tied into your pool automation (assuming you plan to have at least some). It's pretty common for the pool builders to do, but watch the equipment pricing. I bought mine cheaper from lockwell.com and had my builder install...
