    Replacing a Mastertemp 400

You are correct I am in Austin, TX, My neighborhood is replacing his pool equipment and he gave me his old heater. Same model and everything. Not new, but free :-) It looks like from the manual it is just turn off the gas, electricity, plumbing to the old pump. Remove those connections and...

    Replacing a Mastertemp 400

Thanks, it doesn't look too hard since the plumbing, wiring, and gas are already run.

    Replacing a Mastertemp 400

Apparently a familiy of rats decided the heater was a great home and destroyed the inside of the heater over the winter :-( Yuck and booo.... Pool technichian came out and told me it needs to be replaced. It is the 125,000 BTU version and the quote to replace it is around $3300. That seems...

    pump not stopping

I have an Easy Touch controller and suddenly my pool pump continues to run even in service mode. I have to throw the breaker to turn it off. Is there a troubleshooting guide for that?

    uneven spa jets

No worries, I am sure I confused you. The part in the wall looked different, it was a female adapter that the jet and tube connecting the jet screwed into.

    uneven spa jets

In spa mode 100% of the water flow goes through the jets in the spa, in pool mode ~50% of water flow goes to the jets in the spa, the rest goes to the jets in the pool.

    uneven spa jets

I'm confused, the pump is running just less than 100% of the water flow going through the jets to the spa. I did flush the jet and no debris was found.

    uneven spa jets

OK, new data. Still being strung around by the crappy PB. But I decided to turn on the blowers while the actuators were set to pool mode and air came out through all six jets pretty evenly. Does that mean that when the valves are in spa mode the there is too much water pressure for the air to...

    uneven spa jets

OK here is the crazy history of the pool. It was built 7 years ago with no issues, my loving wife really wanted a bigger spa, so we got that enlarged. (in fairness, it was too small) Since the spa has been redone with haven't had the jets work correctly. He is of course AWOL. Same pump for...

    uneven spa jets

I think that I am up a creek without a paddle on this, but I thought I would ask y'all if you can think of a solution. Our pool guy is pretty much a huge disappointment and turned out to not be the most knowledgable man about pools. Anyway, here is the problem. Our spa has 6 jets and the...

    Short in my Intellichlor IC40

I would reset the break an within 30 seconds the breaker would trip. When I unplugged the IC40 the breaker would not trip for a day. I swapped out the IC40 and the breaker has not tripped for 2 days now.

    Short in my Intellichlor IC40

My IC40 has a short in it and pops the breaker for in my easytouch station. I tested a replacement IC40 and it works fine, so my question is what could cause the short in the salt cell? The fins don't appear to have any scale on them or corrosion. Is it dead and useless now or can I resurrect...

    Enlarging a spa

I can live with it but I'm not sure about my wife. One idea I had was to covert the spa into a decorative waterfall and just build a new spa next to the pool.

    Enlarging a spa

My wife wants us to have our jacuzzi increased in size. It is built into the side of our pool. How difficult of a job is it to expand a spa? I'm assuming the existing plumbing can be used but the rest of the spa will need to be demo'd and then rebuilt bigger.
