Who are you? How did u choose your handle?

Thanks so much for your service, Jax. That ain't lip-service either.
Awe....Thanks....I served my country for 30 years, but my country served me right back....I joined as a 17 year old homeless kid and left the Navy with a BA.... But the taxpayers of this great country supported me just as much if not more than I did them!!! And for that I am ever grateful.....

Casey is my second user name. Does anyone remember my first one?

I chose Casey because she (My dog) loved to swim. I have never had the pleasure of owning a dog that loved to dive and swim under water. So I decided that since she and I loved our pool so much, I would request a name change. My girl has since passed away. I divorced and brought her with me and didn't get the new pool in so she could enjoy it with me. I know I'll never forget her!

She put 17 holes in my first liner and we had a very long talk about that when I replaced the whole pool and installed a new liner. It was like she knew what I was saying. I had hours of work put into the sand base when she blew through it n I had to redo it. We then had another long talk n she never went near the base again. I had the pool up for 3 years and she never put another hole in the liner. She was on my level! Girlfriend was by my side in my darkest hours. I love all my dogs but she was my best. She just knew me n I knew her. I miss her!

Cheech chilling out with Karen.

We had a lab mix named Cheech at our last house. He thought the pool belonged to him. There wasn't anywhere in that pool where he couldn't grab a tennis ball on the dive. I once put a dozen tennis balls in the pool, and it made me realize that he thought he was rescuing them. He would swim out to the balls furthest away and bring them to the shallow area. Once he got them all there, he got out of the pool and plucked them out, one by one and lined them all up on the deck.

We had a Polaris pressure side cleaner, that was his nemesis. He thought it was a monster living in his swimming pool. He would watch where it was going and run around to meet it. When it occasionally came all the way to the surface the "tail" would spray water in his face, confirming that it was his mortal enemy. He would actually stick his head under water and bark at it. A very strange sound a bubbling bark. I did have to replace the hose on the back of it, a couple times he grabbed it by the tail and pulled it out. Once on the deck he was in for a real fight. It fought him back as the hose was flipping around spraying water at high pressure due to the booster pump.
