New Pool Build – Kingwood, TX

Love the free form and natural look of the pool! Can't wait to see it plastered!

Plaster crew ended up coming on Thursday!!! We started filling around 4pm and was finished by 10 am.

We have a few checklist items:
- The plumber has to come back and redo the plumbing valves for the waterfalls. The weeping wall was plumbed in with the other two waterfalls and should have been plumbed with the main pool pump. The two big waterfalls need the dedicated pump for themselves.

- The electrician needs to come and change a GFCI outlet, it has gone bad and the pool light wont come on. I could do it in 5 mins.....and might. No telling when the electrician will be out.

- The waterfall guys need to come back and finish plugging leaks, directing water flow and installing the cap.

Woke up this morning to a blue pool. About to due my second day scrub and water tests.....

Really looks great. Any pics of the detention pond? I'm just curious since I have to the same.

My pool build should start before the end of the month. Im told the City of Houston can take up to 2-3 weeks to process the permitting necessary for my detention pond. This means the master bath remodel and the pool build should both start around the same time.

Detention Pond will be this week, the digger has been behind schedule due to the rain. I will post some pictures of our "Rio Grande" once it's finished.

OK, we have made some progress. I got the patio cover to a stopping point, need to recover from the spending binge. The PB finally completed the punch list, we paid the last payment, balanced the pool, and done some landscaping. I wanted to post the last few pictures which will complete our swimming pool build. We will be posting in the BBQ Outdoor kitchen forum when I start that project in a few months.

Thank you for all of the compliments, help, suggestions and critiques over the past 4-5 months.

Finally got the roof shingled and dried in just before the rain started. I realized how much I would hate to roof for a living.

Finally getting rid of some mud!!! The wife was the most excited about this progress!

All of this new grass and the dog chooses to lay on the last pieces of the artificial grass.

My wife enjoying the Spring sunshine and 65 degree water. We are expecting our first child this week and we are very excited and blessed. She has been very patient with me.

We purchased a few plants to fill in behind the waterfalls, it looks better, but will take a few months to fully grow in.

My make shift outdoor kitchen...... I can't wait to start that project. I will post the progress of finishing the patio and building the kitchen in a new thread.

Dont mind the faded umbrella and the patio furniture all covered up, we are waiting for the pollen to be over before breaking out all of the new stuff.
