Thinking of replacing my TF-100 with a TF-Pro, will the Taylor speed stir fit In the pro case? Did you switch and was it worth it?

I’m sure some of you have gone through this change, as I’m about to order my re-fill kit, I’m tempted to include an order for a Pro case as it looks to organize much better.

I have an older Tf-Testkit that comes with the tackle box, will all of the components from my older kit fit in the Pro case?

I know the larger CYA won’t, but what about the Taylor speedstir?

Will the pro kit also fit the Salt kit + additional Slam kit or does it have to be placed in the mesh pocket?

Thanks

The TFPRO comes with a SmartStir. The insert is cut out for it.
The salt reagents are put under the vials.

SLAM is just more FAS-DPD reagents. Store them elsewhere.

The new case seems more convenient, is there confirmation from users that the Talor speedstir won’t fit?

It won't as is. The Ciblanc smart stir (included in the pro kit) is rounded where the speedstir is square. But you can cut the foam to fit the speedstir when only buying the case.

Having had both the TF100 and the TFpro, I appreciated the organization of the Pro, every last time I grabbed it. I cannot recommend it enough.

Picture from a thread with the same question recently.
So I’m trying to fully convert over from my TF tackle box to the pro, great to know the speedstir fits.

Is there anything else that won’t fit, like does the pro case come with its own laminated maintenance instruction card or do I need to order that, will all my old TF-100 mixing vials and test tube, and PH/Chlorine testing housing fit? I ask because I notice they have different versions now on the site under the Pro.

They don’t really offer an option for a turn key conversion to pro, so sorry for the questions, trying to avoid making a mistake.

I just posted this in a other thread. I have a pool and a separate hot tub, and I wanted to easily be able to carry my testing stuff between the two (they are maybe 40' apart - such a long distance).

Anyway, I wanted to carry ALL my stuff. I have a SpeedStir, a (pretty useless) pH meter, and I also use a bigger bottle (and tube) for CYA testing. Plus I often have two of the same reagent, because I ordered one because the other is getting low. And I have borate strips. Lots of things

I started using a Milwaukee pack out . Specifically the 48-22-8430

https://www.grainger.com/product/48..._HSyNiyf0LqIRIojYMxoCWPwQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

I use one big compartment for my SpeedStir and pH meter, and the other for my large bottle of CYA reagent

Then each small compartment holds all the chemicals needed for one specific test (with room for extra so when I order a new bottle of something because I am getting low I have room for both)

There is one small compartment left over for a towel as well

Since each container holds all that is needed for a specific test, and just for that test, it makes things easier as well. If I am testing CH, all the CH reagents are in the lower left compartment. I can just pull out that little bin and have all the components ready to go. Same for TA, same for pH, same for FC/CC, same for salt. Each has its own compartment.

Plus it is waterproof :)
