Ah..my bad lol..I see what went wrong. I was referring to the ease of just plugging the vacuum into the skimmer through the flapper door...."inserting and removing" they thought I meant the skimmer lid.....clarified!

Next time you connect it up can you get a pic? I would like to see how you are vacuuming since mine is giving me tons of air.

I have the same doughboy skimmer that you all have spoken about in this thread. I notice when I put the lid on to vacuum that the pool starts having bubbles go into the pump and the pump loses prime and the pool fills with bubbles. Any suggestions. This is before the actual vacuum is hooked up so this is not the issue. thank you
