Winter chemicals

I leave my pool
Open in the winter hear in Dallas this is my first winter with puta pool service. Do
I continue to test all pool
Chemicals or are there some I don’t test for. I have a salt Walter pool and plan on adding liquid chlorine once a week. Also do you recommend removed the salt cell or just turn to 0%?

I leave my in place since the water is continuously running, especially during freeze events. If we run into a catastrophic event like last Feb where we loose power for an extended period of time, I know to quickly remove all drain plugs and can also remove the cell at that time. Chemicals are easy and barely change. I focus mostly on FC and pH.

I do the same as Pat.. I shut my cell off, but don't remove it once the water temp get too cold for it to run.. For me about 52 degrees.

I still test about once a week as things don't change much in the winter.
