I have a 30x52 pool. I know the stabilizer is too high, I’m going to have to empty some and refill, but the ph and alkalinity are both too low even though I’ve added around 15 pounds of baking soda.

I’ve tested the ph with no chlorine registering in the pool, high chlorine and normal. The ph and alkalinity don’t budge. I’m using a Taylor test kit that you add the drops to and strips, both are giving me the same result.

Could excess stabilizer cause this?

No.

What test kit are you using?

post your test results.
