Went out to check out my pool and noticed this buckling near my slimmer.

Am I in trouble?

Is it just me and my eyes ? Looks like an indentation crease in pic #2, but then the other pics like some of the upper shell got pushed outwards? Is that about right? I'm not seeing any ruptures or skimmer separation from the shell. Is there anything else?

My guess would be water froze in the skimmer and pushed upward against the winter cover. This translated to pushing the skimmer inward.

I can speak from experience that if it didn't cause anything to break or tear to the skimmer or your pool then you aren't in any imminent trouble. I had it happen several years ago and everything is still operating mostly normally. However it is something you will want to keep an eye on, especially if you notice any change in the size or shape of the indentation.

That is damage from either ice or too much weight (water) on top of the winter cover. There are creases in the wall from top to bottom.

You may have had a leak or water was displaced out of the pool and the wall buckled under the strain of the cover. When using a solid winter cover it is important to remove as much liquid water off the top of the cover as possible.

Personally I would not consider that wall area safe and would recommend removing most of the water from the pool to reduce the stress on that area to prevent sudden failure of the wall.
