What does it look like when algae starts to appear?

I saw this just now and curious if it’s baby algae growing?

All I see is pebbles ... what are we supposed to be looking at?

Usually water will either start to grow cloudy, or you will start to see green appearing on the pool walls.

Is that floating on the water? Looks like organic debris.

yeah it was floating. What does it look like when algae starts to form though? Would anyone have pictures? thx

As I said above:
Cloudy water or green on the pool walls

Brush the pool completely to see if you get any dust.

Do an overnight chlorine loss test.

What are all of your test results?

Turn on the pool light at night for a good look at the clarity.
