I see several of the replies are from Texas. My pool gets sunlight all day what CYA level should I be shooting for. I was at 200 I've manage to get it to 80 so far after a few partial drains.

Hi fellow Houstonian.
I ran with a CYA of 80ppm last year, then in early winter (before the freeze) I had opportunity to drain and let the rain fill up about 10 inches and by spring I had it down to 30ppm which was too low as I started to really add LC daily. I move it up to 40 which was better and now at 50 and pretty happy with that. My pool is only half your volume so you may want to be in the 50-60 range simply because of the amount of LC needed to add due to daily loss to UV. I would try to stay at max 60 as that gives you some leeway if you have to use pucks if you go away for a long weekend, etc.
