Water is low after opening

Last year I drained my pool below the skimmer before putting on the cover.
Today I took off the cover and there's only about 8 inches of water in pool.
I don't see a hole in the liner. I filled it to about 15 inches and there's no leak.
What say you?

I'd look for a leak at the level where the water was (8" height). If it is a small leak, it may not be too noticeable with only 15" of water in the pool. Regardless, fill the pool soon so that the walls are protected from damage/wind. Keep an eye on the level to see if a leak shows itself.

Still filling up. No water around pool from a leak. Strange.
