Water Bugs

Have bugs in the water not sure why? Any help greatly appreciated.
Here are my TF100 test kit numbers.
CYA=50
FC=5.5
CC=0
PH=8.2
TA=80
CH=375 (tap water is 200 sure is hard to keep this down)

Your FC appears good. Normally bugs are when you have algae in the pool. My pool gets very few bugs.

What kind of bugs?

Looking up online from what I can tell is they are water boatman. I don’t have tons of bugs just a couple everyday. I scoop them out when I see them. Just wish I had none. I always keep up on my chlorine levels and everything as for numbers look good. Not sure if this is just normal.

I have water boatmen now and then for the first time ever with this current algae bloom. So far just one every day. I just skim them out and continue with my SLAM.

Mind you, I'm no bug expert but I see where the boatman feeds on algae and dead plant material. If you have no algae, maybe check and empty your skimmer basket more often to remove any dead plant material?
Just a thought.

I see one one boatman or skeeter occasionally and if my chem is fine.. I just scoop it out and call it a day. It probably migrated (they do walk) from my neighbors pool or from some puddle in our neighborhood's collective backyards. If I see a bunch.. then I ramp up the chemical warfare

I get backswimmers every year.
They feed on other bugs, and don't usually stay for long.
I see 1 or 2 every year, but I have a 1 acre pond about 30 yards from my pool, so they come as no surprise when I see them.
