yes keep it square to the opposing side as best as you can and just go crazy with additional rebar spikes or wooden grade stakes. you can never over-do it when it comes to bracing. if you are getting inspected and have stamped plans be careful as some inspectors are tough they want to see the full 8"or whatever is spec'd on the plans.
