I saw a post where @JamesW recommended a US Seal over Hayward parts for a pump but not the 3400VSP. US Seal says they can't find a find a cross referenced part number but the person on the phone did not seem knowledgeable. Do anyone know if they make one for it? Also, Hayward seems to sell Jacks 327 to lube the new shaft seal which is not water based. What gives on that?
Rant from me - I'm on my third EcoStar pump in 5 years all replaced under warranty minus labor costs. This is the first seal to leak and it's only been 6 months since the last pump was installed. I'm ready to trash the whole thing. Rant over.
