Trying hard but still lost!

-a small amount of visible algae
Do OCLT when ^^this is no longer true. Do you have a ladder? take it out and scrub inside tubes. Do you have a light? did you scrub behind the light? scrub the skimmers. Check the weir doors for algae in the foam. Leave nothing un-scrubbed.

A little update. Finally turned off my chlorinator last night so numbers this morning are purely the driven by doing the SLAM. Here they are:

FC: 12.8
CC: 0.2
pH: 7.8
TA: 90
CH: 430
CYA: 40
-crystal clear water
-a small amount of visible algae but decreasing daily.

I added a gallon of LC which according to Pool Math should bring me back up a FC of 16 which is my SLAM level. So my plan is to continue SLAMing for another day or two before I do the OCLT. Does that sound appropriate?
Hint: switch to using the 10ml sample procedure when testing chlorine. You don’t need accuracy down to 0.2ppm and it’ll save you from running out of reagent during a SLAM.
