Not sure if this is the correct place to post but. my TFP app is telling me to put 21 gallons of Acid in my 30' round above ground pool. I cannot imagine that is correct. Please advise.

And how do you have a TA of 35?

I am not changing the target of any of the chemicals. I always just rely on the app. I was under the impression TA for a vinyl above ground pool is unnecessary. We have not tested TA in 2 years and therefore have not changed the values (on purpose at least).Why are you targeting a pH of 3?

The level of TA is necessary to calculate the pH effect of adding acid. You should always test TA when you have a pH you wish to adjust using acid.
Someone changed the pH target to 3. The app does not select that value.

Ok, gotcha. I changed the Target pH to 7.6 and now the recommended acid looks typical. We will also begin testing TA again as well. I appreciate your patience and help.
