I took a TA reading a few days ago and I was at 50ppm. Today I tested it and it's at 70ppm. I added pure boric acid in between, but that was only supposed to increase it by 3 ppm. I'm wondering if there is a leak in the pool at this point since I have autofill. Or is this normal? The pool wasn't really used either.

That is 2 drops. Could be a testing error in how you hold the bottle and form the drops.
Are you holding the bottle vertical and letting the drop form on the tip and fall off? Do not squeeze the bottle and squirt the drops out.
Just monitor the TA and see what a few readings are.
