TA seems high and not dropping

Hi

My TA is a little high and not dropping. I've brought PH down but unsure how to follow up.

Also, being in Canada, is Windsor Ice Melt what I should be using to increase CH. I've added a couple times but not getting the CH increase I'd expect.

The label says Sodium Chloride CAS #7647-14-5

Your test data looks fine. No real reason to force TA lower.

Sodium Chloride is salt. You need Calcium Chloride.

oops ... thanks for that. What do products I get the Calcium Chloride in other than pool supply in Canada, if you know off hand.

You are sharing your Poolmath. That is how I looked at your data.

I am not sure in Canada. Ice Melt is one thing I would think you would have! Especially in Barrie --- been there! Nice Cabelas.

Canadian Tire tends to carry pool chemicals. Try them.

My experience is that TA is pretty illusive. I’ve put nearly a gallon of 31% MA in my pool over the last few weeks and the TA hasn’t moved. No sure why, but I’ve been advised not to worry too much about it.
