Equipment set completed last week. I have a lighted bubbler in the sun shelf and 2 lighted laminars. I asked the plumber to install the heater bypass and leave space for future SWCG. PB charged me $300 extra for the heater bypass.

Thank you. I believe all the valves are Hayward brand I didn’t see and jandy boxes when they delivered the equipment. Do you think they left enough space for the swcg?

Hayward brand is good as well. Couldn't see the detail in the picture. You definitely have room for the SWCG. You have that long run from the heater to the 3 way valve. Or you have that long run on the pool side return after the 3 way valve. The preference would be to put it after the heater (after the intersection of your bypass).

Speaking of the bypass. It appears that 3 way valve is not installed correctly. It seems that the down part of the T on the 3 way valve should be on the pipe coming from the filter. The way it looks in the picture now is that there is flow to heater and also flow to the bypass. That valve handle can only rotate 90 degrees each way from it current position. So you can rotate to turn of flow to the heater and 100% goes to bypass but you cannot do the opposite for 100% flow to the heater. You may want to verify that with the plumber.

Thanks. Try to rotate the handle both ways. There should be a stop on it so you cannot rotate 360 degrees one way.
See the handle as it has a white arrow opposite the handle itself and may have the word "close" next to it. That should indicate full off. See if that arrow can rotate to both pipes to have shutoff of the heater or shutoff of the bypass pipe If not, then discuss with the plumber.

It should say "Closed" where the red arrow is pointing.

If you rotate the valve 180 degrees, it should close off the bypass (Red X), which will force all water to go to the heater.

The valve probably has stops, which can be removed, adjusted or bypassed by lifting the handle enough to miss the stops.

You can see where it says "Closed" there is a corresponding gate inside the valve.

You can see the stop pegs on the valve cover.

The handle has a tab that hits the pegs.

You can remove the tab or lift the handle enough so that the tab misses the pegs.
