Straps for Solar Cover Attachment to Reel

We have tried several different types of strap attachment kits over the 16yrs of being residential pool owners.
Most attach with velcro to the real, which is very unrealistic. (trying to be tactful here:brickwall:
Does anyone have knowledge or experience of a durable product that actually produces desired results for ex: the strap stays adhered to the reel for longer than a week, does not tear the cover at the other end of the strap.
If a more Durable product exists, I will be extremely grateful for any resources that are shared.

We've used the straps with Velcro on the reel end for years and never really had an issue. The trick is to get straps that are long enough so you can have them stay wrapped around the reel a few times when the cover is fully deployed. If you have the straps making a few rotations around itself, it will keep the Velcro on. On the cover end, the plastic bushings have worked well to avoid tears. The covers have worn out and needed to be replaced long before any damage occurred at the strap attachment points.
