Strange bottle of chlorinating liquid - orange not green (?)

So, ... I'm slamming.
I've bought many cases (each case has two 1 gallon jugs in it) of this chlorinating liquid (10% Hypo) from Home Depot.

All are green, and all have a safety seal on the top under the plastic cap. The kind where you unscrew the cap, then peel off the safety seal.

But then ... one of the cases has liquid that's orange, not green. And ... the orange jugs have no safety seal. Just the cap.
The label looks exactly the same to me.

Anyone familiar with this brand? (HDX Chlorinating liquid?) .

What is the Julian date on the box?
Look for 19XXX. The XXX is the number of days in to 2019 that the bottle was filled.

Take it back and exchange it.

Its tequila..

Yeah.. take it back..I;m curious does it smell like chlorine? (Don't stick your nose in it.. just wave your hand over the spout to direct some fumes).... or does it smell like tequila?

With the jugs not sealed I would take it back. Don't pour unknown stuff in your pool water.

Not to hijack the thread, but what age should a person be striving to find, or said another way, how old is too old? A month? A few months?

Depends on the storage temperature. In 30 days chlorine can lose 25% of its strength and in 90 days it can lose half.
