Stonescapes mini-pebble: Patches of thin pebble...

Hello all! We just had Stonescapes mini pebble aqua blue installed in our pool last week. We expected some inconsistency/streakiness with color but not areas of outright thin pebbles. This is on our tanning ledge and the steps leading down to it. Is this normal or should we push back on the quality of this installation?

They didn’t offer me a thing. Said it was a normal install. Like I said, streakiness I can deal with... thin patches don’t seem right.

What’s worse is that my kids got in the pool and the areas where is thin are really rough.
