It is pool season in TX! We all got in last Saturday. This is our first season using chlorine- goodbye baqagoo!

Cya:45
Fc: .5(just added 1 quart of 10% bleach)
Cc:0
Ph:8
Ta: 230
Ch:0
Water temp 70

So- I need to drop the pH for sure. And then??

Yes!! Last fall I did that. I couldnt stand a cloudy pool or throwing more money away until spring.

Follow the FC/CYA Levels for 50 ppm CYA.

Your TA is high. So your pH will rise quickly. Test pH every few days and keep it in the 7's. Test TA every time you need to add acid as that value is needed in PoolMath to tell you how much acid to add.
