I am replacing my vinyl liner in the next couple of weeks. I have tan/brown stains on the plastic trim around and on fiberglass steps at/below the water line. I am wanting to get the stains off of these while they are removed from the pool so I don't have to add additional chemicals to the water after refilling it (I've heard something about Jack's magic and vitamin c helping when added to the water). I have a saltwater pool and I have been told the stains came due to the ph being too high. The water is partially drained in the pool now, so adding chemicals now to help remove the stains is not an option. I have tried scrubbing with magic erasers and scrubbing with clorox, but neither helped. Is there anything that can be used to clean these pieces before being reinstalled?
