I really want to be able to play volleyball...AND have a deep end. Any ideas on a design that could accommodate this or is it dumb and/or impossible?

Depends how long of a pool you can have.
There is a maximum slope allowed between the sports pools side and the deep end.
Or do an L shape with one leg being the sports side and one side being the deep end.

You can have whatever you want in terms of a pool design, the real question is how much do you want to spend?
There’s some pool design software out there on the internet. You can always get that and play around with a pool design. Then you can shop your idea around to different PBs and see what kind of budgetary estimates they can provide.

Deep end in the middle? Shallow at the ends where people will be positioned during volleyball.
I LOVE the L shaped pool like talked about above. The best of both worlds-Foot for sports and leg for diving and deep end.
