Speed Stir not turning on (2 of them)

Ordered 1 Speedstir from Wal-Mart, which didn't turn on. Tried two sets of batteries.

Decided to order another Speedstir from Amazon. This one didn't turn on either.

Has anyone else had this experience?

If you're thinking of getting one to save time, consider that you may be adding time going through the return process(es) instead.

Sometimes I've had to gently tap/bang mine on the table, lol! All 3 work great otherwise and are not new

Thanks. Just tried that and it didn't work.

There's no special trick to this, right? Put in the batteries, close the lid, turn it on?

Not that I know of... You can't hear it, just the light comes on. Once you put the vial on it, the magnetic pill spins inside it.
