Spa drains down at night

Anyone ever have their spa drain down at night when the pump is off?
When I check the pool in the morning I always find my spa drained down to just above the jets. When I turn the pump on, everything fills back up and runs smoothly so why does this happen?
Is there something I am doing wrong?

When a raised spa drains down at night it is almost always due to the check valve in the return line...

If you do not know where this is, show us a couple of pics of your equipment pad..
