Slow Dissolving Cal Hypo Tablets

If I’m on vacation, it seems like a good idea for continued sanitization to have some of these 3” tablets (Poolife NPT) in the skimmer. Question is how many, say, over a 2 week period, in my 24K gallon pool, and how much will it raise the CH?
Controlling pH is the other issue. Maybe trichlor in a floater? But not sure that would raise CYA unacceptably.

What is your CYA? Use Effects of Adding Chemicals in Poolmath to see what each trichlor or cal hypo tab will add.

The issue with the compressed cal hypo is they dissolve pretty quickly. So after the first day or two they will gone. Test a couple of them.

You can add up to 20 ppm CYA and will not be a big deal. Just adjust your FC target range when you return.
