slippery fiberglass pool

Hi all,
We just installed a fiberglass pool with a tanning ledge. We didn't install a railing because you are only stepping down into a foot of water so we didn't think it was necessary, but now that it is installed it has proven to be slippery.
Are there any other options besides a railing?

You could try anti-slip tape like this:

Might have to drain the pool some to dry out the ledge before application. And I don't know how long this particular tape remains stuck underwater (?) But I'm sure there's some solution like this to prevent slipping.
