Our shotcrete was done 6 weeks ago and we're expecting tile and coping next week. I noticed today cracks in the shell floor that run the entire width of the pool along the top of the ramp to the deep end. Our soil is clay. Is this normal or something I need to look into further? Thanks!
Yeah I would not look for too many flaws with the surface of the shotcrete...unless you see a big gaping hole or crack where a ton of shift occurred it should be fine. Looks totally normal to what Mine looked like as well.
how did the pool turnout?
I'm facing a similar situation - to appease me, the pool company is doing a core sample before continuing to plaster. See the pictures in my thread on this topic.
