We're in the process of building our first pool and got to the shotcrete step and it rained for days. The PB shot the pool and it resulted in a bowed wall and one wall Caving in. I'm so upset and worried that because the shell is bad, any attempt to fix could still result in problems in the future. Has anyone successfully revised a shell mishap like this? Help please! See pics.

Welcome to TFP.

Post some wider pics. Those close up pics don’t provide any context to what your overall situation is and how widespread the problems are.

As long as they are adding rebar and tieing the new rebar into the existing structure you should be ok.

Are they shooting a new layer of gunite/shotcrete or pouring cement?

They are tieing the new rebar to the existing structure, but I don't know if they are shooting the new shotcrete layer or pouring cement. Is one preferred over the other? Our shell is shotcrete.

Shotcrete gives a much denser stonger surface then cement poured from a truck.
