PB,

Do you have ScreenLogic??

How many lights and how are they wired into the ET? One relay for reach light or one relay for all of them?

Thanks,

Jim R.

You need to know which Aux circuit the lights are connected.

Settings>circuit functions> Aux##> change function from genetic to Intellibrite. Do the same for the spa light if its wired separately.

Under the lights menu, select the pool or spa light and change the light position to 2.

PB,

I do not have colored lights, but I'll get you pointed in the right direction.

You need to see what relays they are assigned to and remember their Aux numbers or their circuit names.. As in Aux 1 or maybe "pool light" Whatever you have named them

You need to go into Circuit Function for the two lights and set the function to IntelliBrite.

Then go into the Lights section and then make sure they are assigned different position numbers.

Then you can assign them to All on or All off, if you want.

Under the Lights section you can select a color or run a light show.

You should really get ScreenLogic.. It makes things so much easier and much more fun.

Thanks,

Jim R.

+1 for ScreenLogic. When you start runnin' things from the couch, instead of out in the sun/cold, or fire up the spa from the car on your way home, you'll understand! ;)

I'm mostly alone on this, but I also make great use of Pentair's Indoor Remote unit (mounted on a wall next to my HVAC thermostat). Others don't see the need, using ScreenLogic instead. The remote duplicates the buttons and LCD of the EasyTouch, so I have all of its functionality indoors, and I like to check on the temp and pool functions as I walk by it. Easier and faster, for me, than finding the phone or iPad and firing up ScreenLogic. One push: light. One push: filter. One push: vac. Etc.

ScreenLogic, and the Remote, connect to the EasyTouch wirelessly, or can be hardwired with the same 4-conductor cable. I chose hardwired, and it all works great together. If you're going to spend (have spent) the money for the convenience of automation, then you might as well make it as convenient as possible, I say.

I went to settings, then circuit types. I got to the correct Aux for my pool light, and here are my options as far as lights go: light, Sam light, sal light, Photon Gen., color wheel. There are other settings out for master cleaner and the like.

ScreenLogic is software, an app and a tiny little box that wires to your router (or ethernet switch) and your EasyTouch. You download the software for your computer, and/or the app for your phone, and tell it the number printed on the little box. The box plugs into your network via an ethernet cable. And attaches to your EasyTouch through either a four-conductor wire, or a set of wireless gizmos (transmitter and receiver). You can have this all installed by a contractor, or you can do this all yourself (which may or may not impact a warranty somewhere, you'll have to check on that). Once all that is installed, you then configure the software (either on a computer or phone). Sometimes its the configuring that is worth the extra cost of pro installation! But there are many here that know the system inside and out and can help you with that, if you want to take this on yourself. I believe ScreenLogic is sold in two versions, with and without the wireless gizmos, so you need to determine before you order if you can run wires between the box and your router and your EasyTouch, or if you have to rely on wireless.

I don't like wireless for anything, so hard-wired mine. My little box sits next to my LAN's switch. I ran a wire from there to my EasyTouch. I later added the wall remote I described earlier, and that wires up with the same four-wire cable. I actually first had it all installed by a contractor, who used the wireless gizmos, but later converted to hard-wire myself. The contractor reclaimed the wireless gizmos. I can't now remember if he paid me anything for those. Probably not, I didn't know any better.

P,

So after doing what we recommended in our original posts, are the lights not working for you at all?

Please tell us what is what is not working and what is working with your lights???

Thanks,

Jim R.

I did look through my Easy Touch, but don’t have the Intellibrite option. The lights work, but in order to change colors, I have to go to the main panel and turn them off and on over and over until I get to the color I want. I want to be able to set them up to change the color from my Easy Touch remote

P,

Did you set your Circuit Function to "IntelliBrite?

Menu, Settings, Circuit Function ... For the two relays that control your lights, you need to set the Function to IntelliBrite. You should have about 18 different functions.

Thanks,

Jim R.

Calling @ogdento .. Tom,

Any idea what FW revision added the IntelliBrite lights..

Pb,

What FW does your unit have? Should be able see it on a label on the main circuit card.

Thanks,

Jim R.

If your label isn't present or readable, you can go to Menu > Diagnostics > Software Rev and see what's listed for "UOC" (universal outdoor controller)

It was added in Ver 2.010, per the Pentair firmware revision doc:
Version 2.010 5/5/08
New processor upgrade requires version 2.010 and higher. Cannot be applied to older EasyTouch systems.
Added IntelliBrite Pool/Spa light support

If your board was built before 5/5/08, you'll need a new board since the new 2.x firmware won't fit on the old 1.x boards
