Sealing stone spa

We have a pool / spa combo with a raised spa and spillover. The spa surrounded with natural stone. Am trying to figure out whether I should seal the stone around the spa.
Also, the stone has not been impacted by rain or any water for three days and some stones are still wet.

Does stone absorb that much water or do I have a lesk behind the stone wall

Thoughts?

Check the grout and mortar joints carefully around the spillover or coping. Good chance you have hairline cracks allowing water to get behind the stone and coming out at that wet spot.
