I have a pool that has an epoxy painted, plaster bottom and fiberglass walls. It's also a 30 year old pool, so I am certain the gelcoat on the fiberglass has seen better days. Nylon brushes don't seem to touch the staining and general dirtiness of the surfaces. I have found that Scotch Brite pads work the best on both surfaces to loosen the staining and dusty dirt off the surface.

I am looking for a large scotch brite pad on a pole. I don't know if any one has a product they use that matches? Everything I have found isn't for pools, and looks like cheap plastic that will break under "pool cleaning pressure"

I've also thought about velcroing a large scotch brite pad to the bottom of my automatic pool cleaner :)
