Hi there, just purchased and set up a Sandpro 75d 3/4hp.
as I was tightening the threaded pvc from the pump to the sand filter, I over tightened & cracked the thread housing from the strainer basket. Unlike the 35d & 50d, Game does not sell the basket housing separately. I have applied a hose clamp for now, small drip happening. Do any of you have a solution for sealing up the crack? I was thinking maybe silicone or some abs or pvc glue plus the clamp.

you can try plast-aid.. it is amazing, not sure if you can make new threads on the pump side but worth a try.. It will actually make new plastic. :)

If you use silicone it may work once but nothing will ever stick to it again...

This looks very interesting. If I can spread the crack and then get this into the crack & close it up with a hose clamp….that just may do the trick.
I am planning on just living with the mild leak for the season. When I dismantle everything for the winter…I’m going to assess & fix then. I’ll post up when & if I can fix it.
thanks!!
