Sand Filter Performance

I have a 27" Hayward sand filter and it performance has been k. Our water is clear but I still some particles which become evident at night in pool light. Few weeks back I used Cellulose Fiber and had seen water clarity increase but eventually I saw cellulose fiber making in pool 3-4 days after addition. I deep cleaned sand filter.
As per recommendation of this site I switched to adding DE to filter.
I have not yet seen any changes in water clarity after almost 1 week.

I have added 3-4 cups of DE total and saw an initial rise in pressure by 1-2psi but now pressure is back to where it was before addition of DE.

Is there a potential breach in filter? It is a new build and I would like to know issues this year as they will be covered under warranty.

I think you are expecting too much from your sand filter.

If you wanted finer filtering you should have got a cartridge or DE filter.

Seeing some particles at night with the light on is normal. Is your pool TFP clear during the day?

How clear should my water be? A very common question. Here is mine on a calm morning where I could finally vacuum. Yes I know, I'm still manually vacuuming. It took me 7 years to finally get an SWG, I'm working on a robot. :) So now let's see your water clarity.

Since you have a VS pump you can try ZeoSand, it has it very specific working parameter. I could help you out if interested.
