Hey all, it's getting close to install time. Again, we are putting up an Intex 18' x 52" pool. I just finished leveling the sand base and I've compacted it a couple times using a lawn roller filled with water. I'm seeing a lot of imperfections (see pics). Is this ok, or do I need to get it smoother? If I need smoother, how? We will be putting down an Armor Shield mat over the sand and then the pool. Will I even feel these, or do I need to get smoother? I'm really stressing out here. These imperfections weren't there before I started rolling. Not sure what happened.

Looks pretty good - most vinyl liner pools aren't as smooth as this. Having said that, liner pools usually have vermiculite vs sand. Just make sure its compacted as much as possible. Is this a permanent install?
Glad to hear this should be ok. Yeah, it'll probably be permanent. Unless something happens during this season that makes us have to take it down to fix. LoL! I've been seriously stressing about every aspect of this. I want to make sure it's done right the first time
