Are you having any issues with water quality? I know you've drained and refilled to lower your CYA but were you having Algae problems before you came here? If not you just need to keep your FC level between 6-8 for a CYA level of 50. It's ok if you overshoot by a bit, I would aim for 10 ppm if you are adding at night and your levels should drop to around 6.5-7 by the end of the day.

yes algae problems, yellow color. i just went out and brushed the bottom of pool and it resulted in a little cloud of yellow dust.

ok, just read about slamming...i need to know how much liquid chlorine to put in...i am sorry i can't seem to figure it out and it has been a long day already...

Don't use ANY of those potions in your pool. Waste of money to you but big profit to Leslie's. Your best bet is liquid chlorine and then more liquid chlorine. Daily. WHile you're clearing up the algae, test and re-dose the chlorine at least 3-4 x a day.

just tested it, and FC is 6 with CC at 2. CYA 50, calcium 75 and PH 7.5. TA is 110. it still appears cloudy. I put in half gallon of liquid chlorine just now.

Pool looks clear, it did have a little yellow pollen looking stuff but i swept it up. do I need to slam this pool?
