I have replaced it once since putting system in . Now the cell seems to be replaced again. It's probably around 4 years old and does not give accurate salt content even though it is clean.
My question is some have said my "board" needs to be newer than 2009 for new cells to work correctly.

What is the make/model of your SWG? 4 years is pretty typical. However, you did not say if it was still producing CL. That's what really matters.
