Recommendation for better Intex filter

I have an Intex Ultra XTR 16 ft x 48 in above ground pool. The sand filter that came with it has never worked consistently, and when it has, it's clearly underpowered.

What's the best filter I can replace it with? I'm willing to spend some extra bucks to get something that will work properly and do a good job of keeping the pool clean. Thanks.

If staying with an Intex pump you best fit is the Intex filter... With that said they are WAY under powered... If you can afford an above ground pump and filter and hard pipe it will work WAY better

Something like this.. It is only a 1 speed pump so it is on or off...

Would something like this work well? I believe my current filter is 1200GPH, so maybe something with 2.5X the flow rate would be better.

It would but it is 150 dollars more for a pump that is inferior... But it will connect up to what you have easily
