Raypak heater not heating

My kids have decided to invite friends over to enjoy our spa. We have run the heater once this season I think. The heater won't start. It Sparks for about a minute, then it says No Pilot Sensed, and No Demand. I checked that the gas line is on. The pool is in spa mode. We have a Raypak 405K. It has probably only been used 8-10 times since we put the pool in 4 years ago.

Does anyone have a suggestion?

May be insects in the pilot light burner. Read this thread and try and light the pilot manually.

Raypak 407A ignition failure no pilot sensed

The heater display was doing very weird stuff...incorrect displays and would not even try to spark. I replaced the control board. Now it correctly tries to start up. I can hear the spark. But I get the "ignition failure no pilot sensed" failure. Any help would be appreciated.

Raypak Heater 266A - 'No Pilot Sensed' Code - Pls help

Raypak 266A "Hear clicking noise' and fault code says 'No Pilot sensed' flame is at 0 and volts at 28.5 any ideas - is pilot assy bad ? can i clean it an replace ? also, we shut off gas to pool equipment for winter and i just cranked it back on - pool heater was working perfectly before winter...

Thanks!! It works! The gas valve inside the heater was off, and I started it several times, and on the 4th try it worked. Much much appreciated.
