Hi All.....I just bought my first pool. It's a 15ft round above ground. And I made a rookie mistake.....last night after I got the pool filled up, I plugged in the pump. It started right up and I was waiting on the water to flow from the release valve as instructed in the manual, it ran for about 5 minutes. BUT....I did not realize that the water flow valves on the pool were closed....so I ran it completely dry for at least 5 minutes. I unplugged the pump & released all the water valves so water was flowing to the pump but when I plugged it back in, it did not turn on. Did I just ruin my brand new pump?
Ran pump dry......
