Raise PH. And Ta at same time

I am tryin to get #'s right .brand new intex 26x52.

Ta 40
Ch 0
Pool math says add 243 borax and that will raise Ta
Do I need to also put in backing soda at the # it says or a little lower or no baking soda . Don't want to make it too high

Adding 119oz of washing soda may accomplish both at the same time.
