The inflatable ring on my 16 year old 18foot intex quick set pool had a 1 foot long hole. I am getting one more year of use by pushing about 60 empty sealed milk jugs into the ring with the aid of the blow side of my shop vacuum. I sealed the large hole with 2 Infltable 1 foot diameter balls that were 2 bucks a piece at Walmart. Its not real pretty but works well.
